Kyle signs for Oldham Athletic...
Congratulations to Kyle Hardman from the current under 14's side who has just signed for Oldham Athletic, best wishes from all the parents and everyone involved with Walshaw Sports Club...

The Under 16s rounded off a good season winning the Bury & Radcliffe League Rayner Cup Final against a strong North Walkden side.
Goals from Jordan Hardman 2 and Sean Young sealed a 3-1 Victory. Walshaw Centre Half Josh Mason carried off the Man of the Match Award.
Keep an eye on Channel 4s "Come Dine With Me" which features Walshaw Sports Club Main committee member Jim Perkins. He competes against Ali, Juliet, Paula, & Nicki in the Bury edition. Filmed last November.
Jim's edition is due on the air soon. Jim cooked up Trio of Brochette followed by a Sri Lankan Curry rounded off with a Ginger Cheesecake....

Tuesday 13th April
The Under 6A squad played in an Under 6 tournament on Sunday 11th April at Radcliffe Borough.
These were their first ever competitive games yet they won all five of their matches to win the tournament.
A great effort which bodes well for next season.

Lanc FA U14 Cup Final
BBSS FC 2-1 WSC FC
Great effort by the U14’s last night. They played some fantastic football but were narrowly beaten by a goal in extra time.
They’ve still to play in the League Cup Final and are currently 2nd in the League.

U14 East Mctr League Cup Final
The Under 14 East Manchester League Cup Final is provisionally scheduled for Sunday 9th May 2009.

Congratulations to Andy Pickfords U14 team...
Last years U13 FA County Cup winners have not only reached the final of the U14 FA County Cup AGAIN this season they have also qualified for their second Cup Final in a week with a League Cup Semi Final win over Delamere Rangers from Gorton, Manchester.
Delamere and Walshaw were both previously unbeaten in East Manchester League and Cup games this season, and Walshaw produced a tremendous performance, coming out 6-2 winners.
They will now play Avro, from Failsworth, in the Final, on a date yet to be confirmed."

Congratulations to WSC U11 Girls on a fantastic 5-0 home win over Bolton Girls in the League today...
Likewise to the U14 Boys on reaching the Final of the FA County Cup again following a sudden death penalty shootout against a determined Brinscall Village FC team...
In the second FA County Cup semi final played at Walshaw today Ashleys U13's took the game into extra time but were narrowly beaten 5-4 by Lytham St Annes YMCA...
and finally hard luck to the U16's narrowly losing out 2-1 to Foxhall FC in their County cup semi final played last week.
Three teams in FA County Cup Semis and a first win for the U11 Girls great stuff...

Goalkeeper Training
The Club is pleased to announce that dedicated Goalkeeper Training will commence on: Friday 9th Oct 09
Simon Marsh will organise and run the sessions at WSC Sycamore Rd
All club keepers are asked to report to the Astro Turf at 6pm.
This additional training is FREE, the sessions will be funded by the club. Mark Dalton is the point of contact and any queries should be addressed to him.
In order to make the most of this opportunity we would like to see ALL keepers attending.

Goalkeepers
Coaching is planned for Friday nights, dates TBC. Led by Dave Young and staff exclusively for WSC keepers. Your manager will give you details when confirmed.
The club is also working with Kenny Arthur a well respected Football League Goalkeeper to supply occasional special training night's and provide an exciting range of Goalkeeper Gloves and equipment.
