Westbury U7 v WSC U7

The benefits of a good pre-match warm up were clear to see as the boys put in their best performance so far.

The game was played in a really good spirit and was excellently refereed. Westbury made us feel welcome and I know that the coffee and bacon muffins went down well after the game!

Despite overnight rain the pitch was in great condition which led to some good football being played. Westbury started well and we found it difficult to break them down. It was thanks to some good work by Captain for the day, Han that we took the lead. Further goals from Samuel, Bailey and a cheeky effort from wide on the right by JJ meant that we went in with a half time advantage.

The second half was tighter with Westbury having more of the possession and just missing out on goal. Elijah scored after some good skills inside the area, followed by a good shot by Luke (2 goals in 2 games after being replaced by the reliable Samuel in goal) and another from Bailey. Thanks also for some good defending by Nathan and Alex.

A special mention for Michael who gave a great performance down the right wing and combined well with William to demonstrate how well the passing game is coming along.
