Chairman’s message Easter 2010
As some of you may already be aware I was recently elected as Vice Chair of the main club, many thanks to those of you who came along to support me, I am pleased with my new role and looking forward to working along side my very good friends Chair Steve Hunt and Club Secretary Mike Goacher, however please don't think I will be standing down from my role as Junior Football Chair, I will manage the two roles side by side and with the brilliant support I receive from Adie, Simon, Tony, David and others I don't envisage any changes for a good while yet.
I am pleased to announce that Phil Law (Girls Football) has agreed to represent our section at the Main Club Management Committee, Phil will attend along side David Bailey and will be mainly responsible for reporting the development of girls football. I am sure that Phil will take his own brand of energy to the meetings Phil's first meeting for this will be Tuesday 13th April at WSC 8.00pm.
Free & Easy Nights, This Friday 9th April see's the launch of our Club Nights where everybody is welcome down at the club absolutely free for a night out. Entertainment is laid on and Supper will be available, tickets are not required just bring your friends down to the club staring at 8.00pm for the best free night out ever.
I am currently working closely with Carl Lees and looking to appoint Carl as Head of Girls Football Development at WSC although this role is not yet official I am sure it is one Carl will do a very good job.
Tickets for presentation nights will be available at the next meeting, the allocation for the Heywood Event Under 7s 8s 9s 10s 10sW 11 & 12s is 50 tickets per team, we cannot issue anymore than that as we feel 350 is a comfortable number for the venue. Please remember this is a 3pm start Saturday 22nd May. Please note there is limited car parking available at the venue so arrive early.
The Girls Presentation Night will take place on Saturday 19th June this event will be for our 9's 11's & 13's girls. Carl, Martin & Phil are already working hard on their Abba Theme Night, This will take place at Walshaw Sports Club.
Presentation Night for the Under 13's 14's 15's 16's & 17's will take place on Friday 18th June this event will take place at Walshaw Sports
Club.
Future Stars Presentation is taking place on Saturday 24th April at 1.00pm & 3.00pm at WSC. Subscriptions for next seasons future stars are available on line via our web site.
Tony & Adie are currently looking into a full main club membership system for the managers and assistants further details will follow.
Subscriptions 2010/2011 although we cannot put out next seasons figures until the AGM, I do envisage for the first time in 4 Years a slight increase to keep up with rising costs.
