FA Charter Standard
The Charter Standard Scheme is a best practice award that sets standards of coaching, administration and child protection for football clubs working with young people.
Walshaw Sports Club was one of 36 founder Clubs in the country to gain Charter Standard Development Club Status when the scheme was launched in 2001. The Club is currently working towards the Charter Standard Community Club Award…the highest level of award for junior clubs.
The FA Charter Standard Clubs Programme is supported by FA Community Partner McDonald's, and is a core component of The FA Football Development programme. The FA Charter Standard Scheme for clubs raises standards, improves safety and recognises and rewards quality within football.
