The Academy at Bolton Wanderers FC…

Is launching a brand new initiative to recognise and reward the local junior clubs with whom the club works most closely.

Although The Academy has tremendous working relationships with numerous clubs, leagues and football organisations through out the North West we are looking to formalise these links so that Bolton Wanderers continues to identify and develop the best local players.

The Academy will be looking to help local clubs by sharing its coaching and sport science knowledge through the coach education programme and the development of coaches at partner clubs.

The Academy will also provide benefits such as consultations with the physiotherapists for injured players and opportunities to watch 1st team matches at the Reebok Stadium.

Before the game against Charlton Athletic on Wed 31st January the Academy signed an agreement which will last for 2 ½ years with the following clubs. Bolton Lads and Girls Club, Boothstown J.F.C.Bridge Colts Hindley Juniors Horwich St Marys Ladybridge F.C. Moorside Rangers Walshaw Sports Club JFC.

Darren Carr, Tony Salmon and Mark Thornley, collect the partnership agreement

from Sam Allardyce at The Reebok Stadium.
